Michael Clawson

Michael R. Clawson is the Director of Music Ministries at Central United Methodist Church. He has recently come to Kings Mountain having served churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Church Music/Vocal Performance from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina and a Master of Church Music in Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Michael has had numerous articles published in various national and denominational periodicals as well as handbell and choral music published. His arrangement, "The First Noel/Pachelbel's Canon" is Alfred Publishing Company's number one selling anthem, selling over 600,000 copies.

Michael has taught voice in several colleges, universities, and community colleges in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee and is currently teaching voice in Kings Mountain.

Rebekah L. Clawson 
Bekah Clawson

Rebekah L. Clawson has come to North Carolina recently after having served as Minister of Music in six churches in North Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia for a total of 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina and a Master of Church Music degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.   Bekah’s applied instrument is piano and she has had an active teaching studio for the last twenty years. Bekah is also the Executive Director of HOPE in Lancaster, Inc. HOPE is a faith-based non-profit located in Lancaster, S.C. that provides emergency food and financial assistance for those living in the community who have found themselves in a short-term crisis situation.
